Currently, there is no open position. It might, however, be possible to support your fellowship/scholarship application.


Some fellowship/scholarship opportunities:

SPF (Fellowship) - Funded by SNSF for postdocs (2 years). Eligibility: any nationality, please see website for details.

HFSP (Fellowship) - Funded by the Human Frontier Science Program for postdocs (3 years). Eligibility: please see website for details.

EMBO (Fellowship) - Funded by EMBO for postdocs (2 years). Eligibility: any nationality, please see website for details.

FCS (Scholarship) - Funded by the Swiss Government for postdocs (1 year), PhD students (up to 3 years), and Research Fellowship (1 year). Eligibility: various nationality, please see website for details.

CSC (Scholarship) - Funded by the Chinese Government for PhD students (3 years). Eligibility: Chinese nationals, please see website for details.


Opportunity for Postdoc

Currently, the Reis Lab provides support for postdocs to obtain their own fellowship to join our lab. Please contact us at least 2 months prior to submission deadline. Your project can be either based on our current projects or on your own ideas, as long as it fits our lab's overall goals. Please contact us for detailed discussion. 


Opportunity for PhD candidate

The Reis Lab accepts PhD students in the following areas:

You do not need previous experience in plant biology, but solid basis on molecular biology is essential. Your project can be mostly experimental (with some bioinformatics); balance of experimental and bioinformatics; or purely bioinformatics. Please contact us for detailed discussion.


Opportunities for Master's degree

The Reis Lab will have opportunities for Master's degree starting from early 2023. Feel free to get in touch before!


Opportunities for short-term projects

The Reis Lab might support short projects (less than 2 years), but you will need to obtain an independent fellowship/scholarship. Please reach out for further details.
